I marched out onto that field with my head held high. Millions of people stared at me and my team mates. I heard our team name getting called out. My heart started pounding, ba boom ba boom. It started getting faster and faster. Ebby- Leigh marches us up on to the start disk.
The music started. By the centre quick march. I started marching. I started to think I was going to make a huge mistake and every one would see it. But I successfully made it to the end with no mistakes at all. I was really proud of my self!
We went into the holding pen were we waited to go onto display after we had done technical. After we waited for the other teams it was finally our turn. We marched out there again with our heads held high and formed our team for display. Then all of a sudden the music turned on. Railfreight cavilers by the centre quick march. We all stepped out together like we had been doing this for our whole life.
When we get to hound dog I got really nervous because I had to shake my but in front of thousands of people. As I went forward to do it our under sixteen’s yelled out ‘‘SHAKE IT JESS’’ WOO!
When we had finished display we had to rush to get to the presentation which is really important and exciting. First we had to do a march past to show where we are from, what our team name is, and represent our city. Then the moment we had all been waiting for, in first place for technical is Railfreight Cavilers! We all started screaming, yelling and jumping up and down! The crowd was so loud my friend’s ear drum nearly burst. In first place for display Railfreight Cavilers, again we all started screaming; yelling and jumping up and down we were so proud! We got first in every thing!
That was a great day that I will never forget!
